Bond Payments

Transaction fees may be avoided by posting bonds directly and in person with the appropriate court. Bond payments to the courts must be paid in the full amount.  You may not split payments between the jail and courts.

All bonds may be paid through the jail with the following options:

Select Send Money, choose Grand Traverse County Facility, type inmate last name, select inmate, then select Credit Card Bond Web Deposit.

2. By Phone: Call 1-866-422-6833 (24 hrs/day, 7 days/wk)

3. In person via Jail Lobby Kiosk with Cash or Credit Card - Transaction fees apply

24/7 through the kiosk located in the jail lobby - Grand Traverse County Jail, 320 Washington St., Traverse City, MI 49684

The kiosk accepts cash bills, MasterCard, Visa and American Express. It does not accept coins, money orders or checks and does not provide cash back.

Any overage paid will automatically be deposited into the inmate’s commissary account and will be applied toward any balance owed upon release. Any positive balance in the inmate’s account at release will be paid to the inmate in the form of a debit card or check.

** In most cases, inmates are released the same day bond is posted. However, court ordered bond conditions may sometimes cause a delay in release of up to several days.**

To Pay 86th District Court Bond:

2. In Person: Contact the 86th District Court directly (Options may be available to avoid transaction fees).  86th District Court bond payments can be made on the first floor of the Robert Griffin Hall of Justice.

To Pay 13th Circuit Court Bond:

1.  In Person: Contact the 13th Circuit Court directly (Options may be available to avoid transaction fees).  13th Circuit Court bond payments can be made on the second floor of the Robert Griffin Hall of Justice.
