Electronic Communication
Email Communication
Inmates have the ability to receive E-mail communication through kiosks located in the facility. Family/Friends need to set up an account, be approved, and deposit funds at www.inmatesales.com. The cost is $.50 per email, both incoming and outgoing., with no character limit. Minimum purchase required and fees apply. All email communication must be initiated by Friends/Family before inmates have the ability to respond.
Friends/Family members may include up to two (2) attachments that will remain on the account for 3 years. Emails with attachments will be reviewed and approved by facility staff prior to delivery to inmates for viewing.. Inmates will have the ability to view all emails/attachments until release or if they are rebooked into our facility in the future.
Chirping (AKA Texting)
Inmates have an option to request a Chirping Device. The inmate is assigned a dedicated phone number and device to directly text friends and family (F&F). Chirping devices are offered and issued upon request to eligible inmates in general population and based on classification level. The devices are a privilege and may have individual use suspended or terminated for violations of facility policies, rules or terms of use.
When an inmate gets a device they may send 5 free automated text messages each day for the first three days of possession. The automated messages will inform the recipient(s) who is sending the chirps and the facility they are Chirping from. It will then prompt recipients to click a direct link to the inmate's account on the inmatesales.com website. The inmatesales.com website will instruct recipient(s) to use a credit card to put money on the inmate's account. If the inmate has not been successful on obtaining funds in three days, they will have to return the device to facility staff.
Messages are limited to 160 characters and are text only. Cost per text inbound and outbound are $0.10 each. CPC charges users a $1.00 per month device rental fee which is automatically deducted from a F&F account each month. Minimum purchase required and fees apply.
