To Make Payment to Outstanding Debt


TO AVOID TRANSACTION FEES:

  • Cash, Check or Money Order in person at jail lobby window
     8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday, excluding holidays.
  • Money Order by Mail (see option 2 below)

1.  Credit Card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express):

 To verify balance owed: Call (231) 922-4532, M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

 

Select Send Money
Select Region: Michigan and Facility: Grand Traverse County
Click on ‘Show Inactive/released residents’

Enter inmate last name and select desired account

Click “Yes” to pop-up for INACTIVE resident

Select Payment to Debt and enter payment amount

Convenience fee total is shown, click next to continue with payment

 

  • In Person: 24 hrs/day at jail lobby kiosk

Follow screen prompts to begin, select "Display ALL ACCOUNTS"

Enter last name and select desired account

Select Pay by Credit Card, Select Pay Outstanding Debt

Enter amount of payment including cents

Convenience fee total is shown, select next to continue with payment

2. Money Order (No transaction fees)

  • In Person: Jail lobby window: M-F, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., excluding holidays

  • By mail to: Grand Traverse County Jail, 320 Washington St., Traverse City, MI 49684

           *Include inmate’s full name and account number with payment* 


3. Cash

 

  • In Person: Jail lobby window: M-F, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., excluding holidays (Must be exact amount owed; Change is not provided; No transaction fees)
  • Jail Lobby Kiosk: In Person:  24 hrs/day at jail lobby kiosk
