About the Summaries

For many years, this Court has summarized civil jury trial results. We believe this summary is useful to lawyers and litigants who are evaluating their own claims and defenses. As with stocks, past history is not a guarantee of future results. Every jury is different but patterns and parameters do emerge.

The summaries are the comments of the trial judges and are meant to be objective. The assessment of a case as weak or strong is based on the Judge's perception at the close of the trial and before the jury returns. We hope you find this document helpful.
