Ms. Moeggenberg was appointed Grand Traverse County Prosecuting Attorney in December of 2018, after serving as Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from 2013 to 2018, and as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney since 1998.  She received her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School and her Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University. Prior to working in Grand Traverse County, Ms. Moeggenberg served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Hillsdale County from 1997 to 1998.

Ms. Moeggenberg has specialized in the areas of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and has tried hundreds of cases involving these and other crimes. She is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that responds to cases of child physical and sexual abuse and is a board member of the Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Traverse Bay Sunrise, the Grand Traverse, Antrim, Leelanau Bar Association, Fight Crime – Invest in Kids Michigan Chapter, State Bar of Michigan, the Prosecution Attorneys Association of Michigan, and the Offender Success Steering Team.
