What You Will Need
If your Court hearing will be conducted by Zoom, you will need a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or a smartphone that are equipped with a camera and microphone. You will also need a stable internet connection. If you do not meet these requirements, please contact the Court.
Video Capability
If you plan to participate in the hearing, you must have video capabilities. If you do not have the ability to use video, you must appear in person.
What You Need to Know to Participate
1. Be prepared. The Court does not provide technical assistance. Directions for testing your device prior to the proceeding can be found at zoom.us. Participants should take time prior to the call to become familiar with the Zoom controls and test devices. Parties or counsel who receive notice of a hearing and do not connect to the Zoom meeting will be considered to have chosen not to appear.
2. This call is a court proceeding and therefore an extension of the courtroom. Appropriate attire is required.
3. Participants must use a private and quiet room that will be free of interruptions.
4. DO NOT DRIVE WHILE PARTICIPATING IN A ZOOM HEARING.
5. Be mindful of your surroundings. Virtual backgrounds must be appropriate, if used.
6. The Court has the right to terminate the call/proceeding at any time for inappropriate behavior.
7. The Judge has power of the proceeding and participants, including contempt powers, as if they were present in the physical courtroom.
8. Any video recording, audio recording, and/or reproducing of the hearing is strictly prohibited and is subject to the penalties for contempt of Court.
