Guardianship Review

Volunteers assist the Probate Court by performing reviews of vulnerable adults and children who are in a guardianship.

Description

  • Volunteer reviewers visit facilities and/or private homes to meet with the person in the guardianship.
  • These state-mandated reviews focus on whether the conditions that existed required the guardianship are still present.
  • The reviews also help determine if the person's needs are being met.
  • Volunteers complete a report of their findings for the Judge.
  • The time commitment is usually one to three hours per review.
