Transporters

Trained volunteers drive youth under court jurisdiction to various Michigan detention facilities using a county transport vehicle.

Description

• Transporters are on call and may be called any day or time. Transporters may decline if unable to fulfill the request.
• Each trip requires two transporters.
• Trips are arranged by Volunteer Services.
• At least one of the transporters needs to be of the same gender as the youth. Both male and female transporters are needed.
• Time commitment depends on the length of the trip.
