Howe in the Spring & Summer

Howe Arena is a 25,000-square-foot building. It is a multi-use facility within the Civic Center property and is connected to Easling Pool.

From March to August, the Arena is utilized as an exhibition hall and sporting event  space, hosting a variety of expos and events such as:

• UpNorth Lake and Cottage Show
• Northwestern Michigan Camper and RV Show
• Traverse City Boat Show
• Big Boy Toy Show
• Shoreline Bike Tour
• Traverse City Roller Derby
• Networks Northwest MiCareer Quest
• Bayshore Marathon Packet Pickup
• Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Howe in the Winter

The Arena becomes an ice rink during the months of September to March. This is managed and operated by Centre I.C.E. Open ice skating and hockey opportunities are available to the public. Howe is also the home venue for our local high school hockey teams.
