Island Rules & Regulations

  • Drinking Water: No drinking water is available on Bassett Island. The closest water location is the picnic area on Power Island, about a mile from your campsite. Many campers take water from the mainland or fill their containers at the picnic area prior to setting up camp.
  • Campsites: There are ten campsites on Power Island and five on Bassett Island. These sites are assigned and will be listed on your permit. Please use the fire pit area that is established on the site. Each site has its own picnic table, cooking grill, and campfire circle. There are maintained restrooms servicing the island.
  • Check-In: 3 p.m.
  • Check-Out: 12 p.m. (noon)
  • Pets: All pets must always be leashed and under the control of the owners.
  • Litter: There is no trash dump on the islands. We ask that all campers remove any litter from the islands when they depart.

This is only a partial listing of rules. A complete listing of island rules and regulations is posted near the main dock of Power Island.
