1. What are Human Resource's office hours?

Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

2. When can I change my health insurance plan?

You can change your plan during open enrollment which occurs at the end of each year.

3. How do I submit my Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) information?

All FSA reimbursements are processed through HealthEquity.  You will need to login to your HealthEquity account and link your account to your bank account to receive direct deposit of all reimbursable FSA claims.

4. Are we getting Dental cards?

No. Delta Dental does not provide a customized dental card for each employee. The only thing you need to do is to tell your Dentist that your employer is with Delta Dental. They will be able to look you up in Delta Dental’s system with your name and social security number.

If there are any issues, your dentist can contact Delta Dental at 800-524-0149.

5. How can I find out if my dentist is in the Delta Dental network?

You can view a list of participating dentists by visiting Delta Dental’s website.

6. How can I find out if my doctor accepts Priority Health?

You can view a list of participating providers in the Priority Health network by visiting Priority Health’s website.

7. How do I apply for a loan through my retirement account (MERS)?

You will need to complete a packet of information that may be obtained in Human Resources or through the MERS website.

8. How do I sign up for a 457 Deferred Compensation?

You have 2 plan choices: Nationwide and ICMA. Information packets are available for both from Human Resources or you can make an appointment with a representative who comes in several times each year, and sign up for payroll deduction into one/both of these plans.

9. I recently moved. What do I need to do to update my new address?

You will need log in to your Employee Navigator screen and update your information. You may also need to fill out the

Change Form.

10. How do I find out what other County jobs are available?

Visit the Employment page. The default ‘Current Job Postings’ includes all jobs that are also posted for Grand Traverse County.

11. How do I apply for a leave of absence?

You will need to complete a packet of information which you obtain in Human Resources. We contract with a 3rd Party Administrator who reviews and makes the determination if you are eligible for Short-Term Disability. Other leaves are managed through the Human Resources department but may also require your department head approval.

12. Where can I find out about training programs?

Training programs that are available to all County employees will be posted on the intranet under the Training Resources Section.

13. What is the process for tuition reimbursement?

You can view the tuition reimbursement policy on the Human Resources policies page of the internet. Additionally you can find the reimbursement form under the forms page of Human Resources.
