The Grand Traverse County Senior Center Network offers a broad spectrum of activities designed to support wellness, creativity and social connection. Seniors can take part in fitness classes such as yoga, line dancing and strength-and-balance exercises. There are also wellness services like foot care, massage, reiki and hearing screenings to help maintain health. For artistic and social enrichment, the network hosts drawing fundamentals classes, hobby groups (knitting, crafting, etc.), ethical discussion groups, dice games like Yahtzee and Farkel, and — when available — bingo. On top of that, the new facility in Traverse City offers meeting spaces and opportunities to gather outdoors, thanks to its covered patios and outdoor courts for tennis, pickleball and shuffleboard. Through its programming, the Senior Center fosters a warm, active environment where older adults can learn new skills, socialize and stay healthy.
