Hazardous Waste from a Household

Appointments can be made online by http://www.hhwappt.com/Grand_Traverse_MI/d.GetEmailAddress or by calling the RecycleSmart Hotline 231-941-5555.
Grand Traverse County residents may dispose of 150 pounds of hazardous materials at no charge. A $1.30/pound fee will be charged for quantities greater than 150 pounds.

Hazardous Waste from a Business, Organization, School, etc. (Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators - CESQG)

Appointments are REQUIRED for All non-residential participants (businesses, organizations, schools, etc.)
Schedule appointments by TELEPHONE ONLY. Call the RecycleSmart hotline at 231-941-5555. Do not use the online appointment system.
There is a $1.30/pound fee for quantities of hazardous waste greater than 150 pounds.
